Steven’s obsession with Lauren gets even creepier this week, when he plants a hidden camera on her! The insecure fella has already triggered an app on his girlfriend’s phone that enables him to track her every move. But when Lauren’s sister Abi inadvertently gives him the idea to take his surveillance to the next level, sinister Steven puts a chilling plan into action…
“Steven already had his doubts about Lauren and their relationship – but Abi has come along and put all sorts of terrible ideas in his head,” our Square source reminds us. “Of course Steven’s behaviour is outrageous, but it’s only because he loves Lauren.
He’s terrified of losing her.”
However, Abi’s meddling is another matter entirely given that she’s clearly taken a shine to her sibling’s man. The pair shared a passionate encounter following a heated row after her 21st birthday party, where Abi also snogged Lauren’s boss, Josh! But it’s Steven whom Abi is genuinely infatuated with, as she continues to try to worm her way into his affections. Will he take the bait?
It would seem not, after Steven tells Abi in no uncertain terms that what happened between them was a mistake, and their liaison meant nothing. But when Abi later realises that Steven is tracking Lauren’s phone, she suggests that maybe he’s dating the wrong Branning sister – and unwittingly gives him the idea to advance his spying techniques.
“Steven buys Lauren a phone charger that has a camera hidden within it,” explains our sneak. “He’s adamant that something is going on between Lauren and Josh, so the camera is the perfect way to observe the two of them while they’re at work together. However, Steven may wish that he’d left things well alone after what he sees…”

Once Abi learns of Steven’s plan, she asks him why he’s bothering to track Lauren when he could just be her boyfriend instead! Steven insists that Lauren is the one he wants – until he later reviews his secret footage of her and witnesses Josh inviting his partner for a drink.
Will proof of their closeness push Steven over the edge? And will he turn to Abi again if he thinks that Lauren is definitely cheating on him with her boss?
