Priya finds herself in big trouble this week, when she fears that she’s pregnant by Leyla’s fiancée, Pete!
Having done the dirty on her closest pal, Priya has resolved to put her mistake behind her, especially now that Pete has committed to Leyla by accepting her marriage proposal. But a baby bombshell could blow that plan apart…
“Priya turning up to the wedding pregnant with the groom’s love child would not be a good look!” chuckles our Dales insider. “When she realises that she has pregnancy symptoms, Priya is genuinely horrified.
She knows a positive result is going to leave her in a tough position because she’ll want to keep the baby – but that would mean wrecking Leyla’s life.”
Pete thinks he’s got away with his moments of madness with Priya, and is determined to be a better man for Leyla now they are engaged. So, when he confronts Priya to reiterate his decision to end things between them, he’s stunned as she reveals that there may be a baby on the way. Suddenly, he has to face the thought of being honest about what’s been going on behind Leyla’s back.
“Pete isn’t used to being the bad guy – he normally leaves that to his brother, Ross!” explains our sneak. “A baby would change everything for him and Leyla. He saw what happened when his Auntie Moira hid the fact that Adam was her brother-in-law James’ child rather than her hubby John’s. It almost tore the Bartons apart. How could he live with himself if he was playing happy families with Leyla while Priya was living up the road with his child?”
Of course, the only thing for Priya to do is take a test and find out what’s what.
But when she foolishly decides to take it in the Woolpack toilets, Priya is accidentally rumbled! Leyla can’t believe it after she walks in on her best mate, especially given that Priya hasn’t mentioned a thing to her about any potential pregnancy.
So, as Leyla presses Priya for answers, will the stressedout seductress finally do the right thing and admit her guilt?
