THE WHITES ARE ROCKED BY SECRETS FROM THE PAST AFTER LACHLAN KIDNAPS TIM…

- Laura-jayne Tyler

“I actually feel really sorry for Chrissie!”

Chrissie is hit with a double blow this week, as she finally discovers what really happened to her biological father – and also learns that her ‘fancy man’ Simon is actually her uncle, Tim!

The truth comes out after Chrissie’s son Lachlan goes to extreme lengths to silence Tim by abducting him. But as events spiral out of control, it’s poor Chrissie who gets hurt…

“When Chrissie finds out, she feels betrayed,” explains Louise Marwood, who plays her. “She doesn’t know what to believe any more, as it’s been one lie after another from all of them. She’s pretty humiliated, and I actually feel sorry for her. It’s a big mess!”

Chrissie has been unaware of Tim’s true identity since meeting him in a restaurant. But the truth is that her uncle is set on making Lawrence pay for what really happened to his brother and Chrissie’s dad, John – who killed himself after Lawrence set him up and he went to prison. Tim would have killed Lawrence had it not been for the arrival of Lachlan, who rescued his grandad and discovered everything that had been going on. But that wasn’t the end of Tim’s campaign, as he honed in on Chrissie, while she was under the impression she’d finally found Mr Right.

“When Chrissie met ‘Simon’ she was completely smitten,” sighs Louise. “After all, he is a man – and Chrissie has only been with boys up until now. She is very keen on him, prior to finding out who he really is!”

The drama unfolds as Lawrence and Ronnie prepare to move to Cornwall. Lawrence resigns himself to the idea that he must tell Chrissie the truth about Tim, and is ready to fess up. However, that option is snatched away when Lachy and Gerry bundle Tim into the boot of a car, and threaten him.

Later, Lawrence hears Tim’s phone ringing in Lachlan’s pocket – and demands to know what is going on. Lachy tells him not to worry, while armed with the knowledge that he has Tim tied up in a nearby outbuilding.

But when Lachlan and Gerry visit their prisoner and remove his gag, Lawrence and Chrissie hear Tim’s cries for help.

“Chrissie is horrified to find Tim being held hostage,” says Louise. “Her son is responsible, and she can’t believe it. It’s a worry as to what he is capable of, and Chrissie is at a loss over how she can reach him.”

Chrissie demands answers – and that’s when the truth comes out about Tim’s connection to John, and their past with Lawrence. Chrissie and Ronnie are stunned by the bombshell, and also by the fact Lawrence doesn’t deny the allegations against him.

“I don’t think that Chrissie will ever get closure now, as she’ll never hear the truth from her real dad,” shares Louise. “She feels badly betrayed by Lawrence, and he’s probably done her more harm now than if he’d been honest earlier.”

As Chrissie reels from the revelation, Ronnie is unable to accept Lawrence’s actions and makes a drastic decision, leaving his fella heartbroken. Can Lawrence repair the damage, or has he lost the people he loves most forever?
