JACK AND INGRID GET CLOSER…

- Kate White

Grieving Jack is in for a surprise this week – as he finds himself enjoying the Mitchell family camping trip, thanks to the presence of nanny Ingrid.

Jack insisted that Amy and Ricky’s childminder came along with them, since he feared he wouldn’t be able to cope with the kids alone. He didn’t want to go on the trip at all, given that it also meant spending a week under the canvas with Honey, Billy and their brood.

However, knowing that the children needed a break after the horror of losing Ronnie and Roxy, Jack decided to man up and go. So imagine his surprise when he realises he’s having a good time after all.

Ingrid has made a breakthrough…

“There’s no doubt that having Ingrid in his life has been a godsend for Jack,” says our spy. “She’s kind, loving with the kids and a good listener. It can’t hurt that she’s beautiful as well! Ingrid manages the impossible this week – she gets Jack to say sorry to the Mitchells, then throw himself into the trip.”

Amy and Ricky are delighted to see their dad getting stuck in with some fun and games, and they can’t believe it when he reveals a hidden talent for magic! Just for a moment, the weight of Ronnie’s loss is lifted, and Jack smiles again.

Is Ingrid the woman who can keep brightening up his life?
