Speaking of Carla and Peter, no Corrie couple have shared a love more passionate and destructive than theirs! It’s madness, therefore, to think that the pair won’t be thrust back into one another’s orbits when Carla returns – or perhaps they’ve had more to do with each other in the past couple of years than we’ve been led to believe. All we’ll say is that Toyah had better hold on to her man tight!

Carla is the true ruler of Underworld, and the Connors may be forced to call for her help to stop scheming Adam from getting his hands on the factory. It's also worth mentioning that Carla once had a stake in the Rovers when she was helping the Mcdonalds keep the pub from Tracy and Tony Stewart. But with the boozer having been sold on to Toyah and Carla’s ex-husband, Peter – as a consequence of Steve and Michelle’s divorce – will Carla feel that she’s still entitled to a share of the sale? The most logical explanation for Carla’s homecoming is that she’ll simply be returning to pay a visit to her father, Johnny – as well as halfsiblings Aidan and Kate. We wouldn't be surprised if news of Johnny’s MS diagnosis reaches her, and Carla comes back to the cobbles to make up for years of lost time with her dad.
