Cindy’s mystery intruder!
AN UNWANTED GUEST GAINS ENTRY TO HER HOME…
Nervous Cindy has been on edge in the wake of those scary anonymous calls – and her fears are realised this week, as a mystery intruder breaks into the house!
Her stalking hell at the hands of twisted DS Armstrong has taken a toll on scared Cindy, and her blood runs cold after she hears somebody trying to get into her home.
“Cindy’s anxiety has really ramped up again with the phone calls, and she thinks it’s DS Armstrong coming back to get her,” explains Stephanie Waring, who plays her. “She’s on edge all the time, and then she hears someone at the back door trying to get in, so she attacks them with the sweeping brush! But it’s a shock for Cindy when she sees who it is…”
Poor Cindy’s world has been turned upside down since she learned of Armstrong’s terrifying obsession with her, and she feared for her life when he lured her to a hotel under false pretences. It’s a period of her life Cindy would rather forget – but Steph has some fond memories of it. “I’’ve been excited by the story since it’s a little bit outside the box for Cindy,” reveals the star. “Nothing like this has happened to her before! It’s really creepy, but Andrew [Haydensmith, who plays DS Armstrong] and I had fun filming those scenes.
“It felt like we were doing a movie when we filmed at the hotel! It was all very dramatic with the running down the corridor and the staircase. I had to kick my heels off, so I needed to be very careful I didn’t slip and

fall over in my tights. It was great – and I liked kicking Armstrong where it hurts!”
Cindy has been lucky enough to have Dirk by her side throughout this ordeal, and Stephanie is pleased that her screen relationship is so strong.
“I sometimes don’t know what he’s doing hanging around, because Cindy is more trouble than she’s worth!” she grins. “They have a lovely relationship. In the past Cindy always went for someone with something in their back pocket, but Dirk makes her feel looked after in a way that money can’t buy.”
Sadly for Cindy, Dirk isn’t by her side when the back door is forced open, so she’s left to face the consequences all by herself! Has the creepy copper came back to finish her off – or is the invader someone Cindy would never have expected?
