Scheming Fi makes a move on Mick?

AS MICK AND LINDA’S MARRIAGE CRUMBLES FURTHER, THE BAR BOSS CAN’T STAY AWAY…

- Allison Jones

Mick and Linda’s relationship is hanging by a thread this week – but does it open the door for manipulative pub boss Fi to put the moves on Mick?

With Linda convinced her husband still has feelings for Whitney, the couple’s troubles are growing. As they trade barbs after a humiliating meal with Whitney and her new fiancé Woody, it seems ever more likely that the childhood sweethearts will call time on their marriage – so when Mick and glamorous Fi end up sharing their respective woes over a cosy glass of wine, could one thing lead to another?

“Who knows what that cunning Fi is plotting now?” spits our Walford spy. “Mick is a broken man, so we wouldn’t be surprised if he’s already on Fi’s radar. We know she’s teamed up with Max for business and pleasure

– but while he’s canoodling with poor old Carmel, could Fi have something to gain by crossing the line with Mick?”

As the week begins, the tension between Mick and Linda can be cut with a knife – and the situation is so strained that even Shirley is motivated to intervene. Determined to prove to Linda that Mick is over Whitney, she invites Whit and Woody round for lunch. But unfortunately, her efforts at peacemaking have precisely the opposite effect…

Could Fi have something to gain by crossing the line with Mick?”

“Talk about awkward,” sighs our sneak. “Linda has a few too many and winds Mick up by flirting with Woody – but it gets worse. Linda’s still seething about Mick’s betrayal, so she snaps and tells Woody about his fling with Whitney, bringing this disastrous lunch to an end!”

Abandoned by their embarrassed guests, Mick and Linda are embroiled in another confrontation. Talking it out on the roof of the Vic, Linda admits to Mick that she doesn’t know if she can move on from this.

“Mick’s encounters with Whitney have hit Linda hard,” says our insider. “The fact he could even look at another woman breaks her heart. She’s always been Mick’s ‘L’ – they’ve loved each other since they were kids, and stuck together through thick and thin.

She really believed nothing could tear them apart, but now she’s not sure she can ever trust Mick again.”

As gutted Mick admits their marriage might be over unless Linda can forgive him, Fi sidles into the frame. Mick becomes concerned after she starts acting strangely – but is her odd behaviour part of a sneaky scheme?

“Mick asks Fi to make a speech on behalf of the Vic at the Walford In Bloom event, and he’s taken aback at her bizarre reaction,” reveals our snoop. “Ever the gentleman, Mick’s worried about Fi, so he invites her upstairs for a chat. He’s just trying to be a good mate… but does Fi have other ideas?”

With Mick offering Fi a shoulder to cry on, has she got him where she wants him?
