Rana doesn’t take well to Imogen
RANA ISN’T AT ALL HAPPY ABOUT IT…
Singleton Kate is delighted when she pulls on a night out with Rana this week – but her fling soon becomes a problem for the close pals.
The evening starts with best mates Kate and Rana getting glammed up to hit the town, and it’s while they’re out that they bump into lovely Imogen. Sparks soon fly between Kate and the newcomer, and it doesn’t take long before they’re getting close. But instead of being happy for her pal, Rana isn’t impressed…
“It’s not like Rana to be unsupportive when one of her friends nabs a new love interest,” sighs our cobbles source. “Recently, Rana was the one cheerleading Alya to take a chance on a relationship with her flatmate Luke. Rana is settled with her husband Zeedan, so her instant dislike of Imogen is a bit odd.”
It’s been ages since there was someone special in Kate’s life. She went through hell at the hands of her disturbed ex, Caz, so chose to stay solo for a while. Despite her attraction to mate Sophie, Kate still hasn’t found anyone quite right for her on Coronation Street – meaning that fun-loving Imogen is a breath of fresh air.
The pair hit it off and have a fantastic time, before one thing leads to another and they end up spending the night together. Kate is comfortable with her decision to go for it, and excited to see what might happen next – but Rana can’t believe it.
“Although she’s married to Zeedan now, Rana was pretty wild in her younger days,” shares our spy. “She isn’t judgemental about casual sex, yet she’s cross with Kate for sleeping with Imogen – who she thinks took advantage after Kate had a few too many drinks. In fact, she’s deeply suspicious of what this new girl wants from her friend. You can dress it up any way you like, but Rana is behaving like a jealous lover!”
There’s no doubt that since they became friends, Kate and Rana have grown closer, though there’s never been any suggestion that their feelings for each other are anything but platonic. Rana is a devoted wife to Zeedan, and the pair chose to seal their commitment

and get married after dating only for a short time.
However, when she bumps into Kate and Imogen in the café with Alya and Luke the next morning, Rana is rattled by the newest addition to her close-knit group of friends. Can she put her suspicions about Imogen to one side and give Kate’s new love a chance?
