Corrie goes six episodes a week!

WE’RE GETTING SIX EPISODES A WEEK OF STREET LIFE…

Coronation Street gets bigger and bolder than ever before this week, as the soap launches its sixth weekly episode in typically dramatic fashion!

We’ll now be treated to an extra instalment each Wednesday night, which means double helpings of the cobbles every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. And Weatherfield bosses are kicking off with a blockbuster week, as brides-to-be Eva and Jenny prepare to walk down the aisle – but there’s much more to it than that, as head honcho Kate Oates reveals...

“We wanted to make sure there was something big happening in each of the episodes this week,” she reveals. “Our centrepiece for this week is the wedding, but then we have the story between Michelle, Robert and stalker Will. There’s also the emotional plot with Rita, which I hope will really pull on heart strings as we’re reminded of how lucky we are to have the great Barbara Knox. Hopefully this story will bring her back to the centre of the Street!”

And the drama isn’t over yet – Kate promises an awesome autumn of plots that will make Corrie unmissable viewing over the next few months. And for some of those stories, this week is only the beginning.

“There are massive repercussions for everyone on the Street after what happens with Eva this week,” says Kate. “The factory has always been a bit of a powerhouse and a major employer – and Eva and Adam’s machinations have an effect on everybody who works at Underworld. That’s going to have a huge impact on not only everyone’s lives, but how popular Eva is on the Street.”

So, hold on to your wedding hats and turn the page, as Corrie blasts its way into a whole new era…
