Eva’s wedding day showdown…
IS SHE ABOUT TO THROW EVA’S REVENGE PLAN INTO DISARRAY?
This is the moment Eva and Aidan’s big day is brought to a crashing halt, as his mistress Maria bursts in and reveals the whole thing is a sham!
Viewers know that Eva is well aware of her fiancé’s fling with her best friend, and has been planning to expose the cheating pair at the ceremony. But there’s an extra twist in the tale, as by this point, guilty Aidan has already broken down and confessed his affair to Eva!
So is the scorned woman still set to go ahead with her revenge plan? And what bombshell does Maria intend to drop on the gathered guests?
“The wedding day is epic!” chuckles Catherine Tyldesley,
who plays the not-so-blushing bride. “The writers have been absolutely phenomenal – everything was so well-written that I was just reading it going, ‘Oh!’, and feeling sick. Eva just jumps straight into things without thinking about the consequences – and obviously a plan of this size is going to have massive consequences…”
FORGIVE ME, EVA!
Eva’s desire for vengeance has already suffered one huge blow, after chief bridesmaid Maria announced she isn’t able to attend the wedding because her little lad Liam is poorly.
But while Eva is still hoping to shame Aidan at the altar – whether his bit on the side is there to see it or not – her scheme is about to come tumbling down around her.
As the morning of the big day dawns, Aidan is consumed with guilt – and he seeks out his bride-to-be to confess everything! So how will Eva react to his ‘shock’ revelation?
“Aidan genuinely loves Eva – he just so happened to fall in love with two women at the same time,” explains Cath. “So he finds her at the hen do, the night before the wedding, and tells her how much he loves her. He gives her a little gift and they end up spending the night together – and when they wake up, Eva’s head is mashed.
“Aidan’s head is fully focused, though – he loves
Eva and wants to go through with the wedding,” adds the star. “So that morning he says to her, ‘I love you so much, but I cannot walk down the aisle with this in my heart’. And he confesses what he’s done.”
Clearly, Eva needs to pull an Oscar-winning performance out of the bag, as she pretends to be outraged by her fiancé’s betrayal. But inside she’s panicking as she sees all her well-laid plans to expose him going right out of the window!
Meanwhile, the guests are gathering at the wedding venue, blissfully unaware of the drama going on behind the scenes. But when clued-up Toyah spots Maria skulking around the venue, she knows the minx is up to no good – and locks her in the bathroom to stop her from causing trouble!
Back downstairs, Aidan is a nervous wreck as he waits for his bride to show up following his shock confession. When Eva does finally arrive, he’s relieved – but little does he realise that Maria has escaped her makeshift prison, and is planning to wreak havoc.
“She’s all guns blazing!” reveals Cath. “What happens next is fantastic, and I think the viewers will be gobsmacked…”
With Aidan having confessed their affair, is Maria set to be left with egg on her face when Eva reveals that she already knows? Or do either of the women have new tricks up their sleeve that will send the congregation reeling?
