Stacey visits Martin in prison
STACEY HAS SOME NEWS TO TELL MARTIN…
It becomes clear to Stacey that her hubby is having a difficult time behind bars”
Stacey is reunited with her husband Martin this week, as she and toddler Arthur go to visit the jailbird in prison.
But while Stacey and Martin are obviously overjoyed to see each other, it’s not just a social visit for Stacey – she has some worrying news to tell him about her young son. So what exactly is going on with Arthur?
“Stacey has had to take the tot to hospital for some tests, and it’s been a frightening time for her,” explains our Walford insider. “She was expecting to find out the results straight away, so she’s disheartened to learn that she will actually have to wait for a specialist appointment next week to discuss what’s wrong. It’s a tough thing for any mum to go through – but even harder for Stacey now that her husband is banged up!”
With Martin currently serving time in the nick for assaulting a police officer, Stacey has had to carry the burden of Arthur’s health worries on her own. She’s also concerned about how Martin is dealing with life on the inside, on top of being in the latter stages of her pregnancy – so all in all, it’s a very stressful time for the mum-to-be.
Luckily, she does have a good support network around her, and she’s able to confide in her stepdaughter Bex
– as well as the teen’s mum Sonia – about what’s been going on. But although their help is much appreciated, nothing can compare to the love and care she should be getting from her husband right now. So as Stacey gears herself up to go to the prison and tell Martin what’s going on, will he be able to offer her the reassurance that she so desperately needs?
“It’s a lovely moment when these two are finally together,” our mole tells us. “It’s clear how much they’ve missed each other, and seeing his wife and child really lifts Martin’s spirits. However, it quickly becomes obvious to Stacey that her hubby is having a very difficult time behind bars – and she just can’t bring herself to add to his misery by telling him the truth about Arthur.”
As Stacey leaves the jail, it’s clear she’s more exhausted than ever – so it’s no surprise that she ends up missing her daughter Lily’s dance recital later in the week because she’s fallen asleep! How much longer can pregnant Stacey cope without her other half?
