Mary disappears with George!
JUDE AND ANGIE FEAR FOR THEIR BABY…
Desperate Mary tries to stop Jude and his family leaving for South Africa this week – by hiding out with baby George.
Mary’s devotion to her little grandson is causing major problems with her daughter-in-law Angie, who finds Mary overbearing and too much to cope with. The big issue is that smitten Mary won’t let anyone else have time with George when they are all together, and Angie is fed up of being pushed out of her own son’s life.
Determined that distance is the only way to solve it, Angie has told Jude that they must leave – but Mary is having none of it…
“This family means everything to Mary, they’ve changed her world for the better,” says our Street source. “Unfortunately, she can’t control herself when she’s around her boys. She’s had a lifetime of love stored up for Jude – and in baby George, she has a child to lavish all that attention on. The idea of them going abroad again is heartbreaking for Mary, she wants them close.”
But Angie’s mind is made up, and after a heart-toheart with Toyah about Mary’s behaviour, she returns home to make the arrangements to leave. But as Jude and Angie pack for South Africa, Mary asks her if she can take George out for one last trip, and the mum agrees. Unfortunately for them all, Mary has a mad scheme in mind.
“It becomes a nightmare for Jude and Angie,” shares our insider. “Mary’s gone AWOL with their son, time’s ticking on, and it looks as if they are going to miss their flight. Poor Norris is the one trying to reassure them that Mary isn’t the sort of person who is going to do a bunk with a baby. But it’s very hard to put them at ease.”
However, an unlikely hero steps up, and Mary is persuaded to return home and face the music. But as the situation intensifies, Norris can plainly see that something is wrong with George. Can they get him to the hospital in time?
