Holby pity!
It’s rare that we see two TV stars from the same show competing against each other in the ballroom, but Joe was thrilled that his former co-star Chizzy Akudolu – who played Mo Effanga in Holby until a few months ago – was also part of this year’s line-up. Sadly, though, Chizzy was the first celebrity to be knocked out of the competition.
“It was a shock to lose her, and a lesson to us all to enjoy it while we can – you never know when it’ll be over,” says Joe. “Chizzy did herself proud. I’m sure it can only lead to great things for her.”
