Crash hit!

Emmerdale brought us its most spectacular week ever, as four plots collided – quite literally – in a stunning motorway pile-up. The soap spent the week teasing a death, starting each episode with a coffin being lowered into a grave, before flashing back to follow one set of characters in the hours leading up to the crash. In the end it was James who met his maker, pushed from a bridge by fiancée Emma – a crime of passion that has just come back to haunt her!
