Couch POTATO
Actress Nell Hudson picks her dream viewing…
Growing up, I loved Disney films – things like Pocahontas, and then the Pixar films like
Toy Story. I used to try to get in on grown-up TV shows that my parents watched as a sort of bonding thing, but I didn’t understand any of them. If I watched them now, I’d probably find they were full of sexual references!
I’ve got Netflix and I’ve
got Amazon Prime, and when we’re filming it’s such a nice thing to do in the evening, just curl up with a box-set. My guilty pleasure is Rupaul’s Drag Race
– I’m so in love with that show.
I go back to The Sopranos
every couple of years, and I think I’m due another go! I’ve done it twice all the way through, it’s just a behemoth of television, so I think I’ll do that again very soon.
Big Little Lies really inspired me
recently – it was so, so good. I kind of do and also don’t want them to do a second series – it was so perfect, but I also can’t get enough! If there’s a part for me in series two, then bring it on!
I rewatched The Remains Of The
Day recently. It’s just so amazing. I watched it as inspiration for playing Mrs Skerrett, because it’s got those wonderful reserved servant performances, and I try to draw on that love story between Emma Thompson and Anthony Hopkins for the Skerrett/francatelli love story, because it’s so much about what’s left unsaid.
