Richard Ayoade breaks out of The Crystal Maze for another series showing us how to make the most of a city break, and he’ll again be bringing a celebrity chum along for the ride.

The first stop on his itinerary this time is Rome, where Richard is joined by Matt Lucas. There’s little time to enjoy their achingly hip hotel, as they’re straight out the door in search of the Antica Manifattura Cappelli – Rome’s oldest hat shop – where they hope that they can find an appropriate shield from the sun.

Bravely, they opt to explore the city in a vintage Fiat, despite Rome’s frankly terrifying driving conditions (so many honking horns!), stopping off to enjoy a uniquely Roman form of timekeeping before deciding not to bother with the Vatican…
