Bex celebrates her 17th birthday
BEX GETS TAKEN FOR A RIDE BY GETHIN...
While Shakil goes all out to make Bex’s birthday one to remember this week, he still has no idea that she’s harbouring feelings for Gethin, her old teacher – and her mum Sonia’s new boyfriend!
Sweet Shakil spends ages deliberating on a sexy gift for his ex-girlfriend, in the hope that a romantic reunion will soon be on the cards. But after Robbie wimps out of teaching Bex to drive, she’s delighted when he forces Gethin to step into the breach as replacement instructor. However, as Gethin puts his lovelorn pupil firmly in her place, will Bex be driven to distraction?
“Bex is on the road to nowhere as far as Gethin is concerned,” insists our Walford spy. “That kiss they shared a few weeks back is the biggest mistake of his life, and he’d do anything for it not to have happened. But Bex just won’t take no for an answer, and she’s certain that she still has a chance with her handsome ex-teacher.
“Not even the fact that he’s dating her mum has stopped Bex in her tracks – so how on earth can Gethin manage to convince her to back off?”
Meanwhile, oblivious Shakil is pulling out all the stops to give Bex the best birthday she’s ever had – and he’s horribly embarrassed when Bex spies him debating the merits of gifting her a lacy red bra with his big brother Kush!
However, saucy underwear is the last thing on Bex’s mind as she gets behind the wheel for her first driving lesson with Uncle Robbie – who can’t handle the stress when she struggles to get into gear.
His nerves in shreds, Robbie ropes in reluctant Gethin to take his place.
Not surprisingly, the fella proves himself a much better instructor than hapless Robbie – but while Bex gets up to speed with the basics of driving, she’s a bit slow off the mark when it comes to getting the message from Gethin…

for Sonia seems genuine. They’re both smitten, so the last thing that Gethin needs right now is Sonia’s beloved Bex still being besotted with him, too.
“During their driving lesson, he makes no bones about the fact that nothing can ever happen between them again. But will the youngster accept that?”
Later in the day, Shakil wows Bex with a surprise birthday dinner and gift. Will his romantic efforts be enough to persuade her to give up on Gethin, and offer him a chance instead?
