Neeta is attacked by Mac!
ANOTHER ARGUMENT HAS AN AGGRESSIVE OUTCOME…
Neeta’s highly toxic relationship with Mac takes a violent turn this week, when her bully boyfriend hits her during a heated argument!
As Mac threatens to tell the world about her forbidden relationship with Hunter, poor Neeta remains under lock and key, with no way of being with the schoolboy she really loves. Life is bleak, and the only person she can turn to for comfort is Brody, who discovered Neeta’s secret affair with her student during the summer holiday in Ibiza. But when jealous Mac sees the hunky barman providing his girlfriend with a shoulder to cry on, his combustible temper begins to boil over…
“Mac confronts her in a nasty way, and Neeta stands up for herself,” reveals Amrit Maghera, who plays her. “Then when she tells him that Brody knows about her and Hunter, Mac goes berserk and slaps her across the face. She feels extremely scared and recoils. He has this horrible power over her that just won’t go away!”
Following the shocking altercation, traumatised Neeta has no choice but to keep the assault to herself. Although Neeta tries desperately to cover up the bruises, Sally still notices them – and she’s determined to get answers.
“Obviously, Neeta doesn’t want Sally to clock the fact that anything’s happened, because then she’ll have to explain why she got hit, and would have to admit what

she’s been doing with Hunter,” explains Amrit. “The last thing that she wants is Sally finding out, but it’s also the thing that she most wants, too. Sally is her best friend and Neeta can’t turn to her at all.”
It won’t be easy pulling the wool over savvy Sally’s eyes, as she wouldn’t rest until she was certain that no harm has come to her mate and employee. And while Neeta faces a choice between a life of misery with Mac or a life of despair in prison, Amrit says that she sympathises with her character’s plight.
“It’s the most terrible situation,” sighs the actress. “Neeta is very much under Mac’s control – she’s so depressed and she lacks any lust for life. No one deserves to go through this, and she needs to get out of this relationship whichever way she can.
“I felt quite passionately about this story, actually,” adds Amrit. “People in real life go back to people they’ve split up with because they think it will be different, and then have to deal with abuse like this. It was amazing to be trusted with this story, and I really hope the audience like how we’ve played it. But things are going to get a lot worse for Neeta…”
