WILL AARON BE FORCED TO BE REBECCA’S UNLIKELY MIDWIFE?
There’s an excruciating experience in store for both Rebecca and Aaron this week – when Rebecca goes into labour with Robert’s baby while his ex Aaron is trying to fix her broken-down car!
As Victoria ropes reluctant Aaron into test-driving her pal’s dodgy motor, the vehicle gives up the ghost miles from anywhere – and it’s not long before mortified Rebecca’s waters break. But can her panicked helpers find a way of rushing the mum-to-be to hospital before Aaron has to deliver the baby himself?
“This is awkward on so many levels,” mutters our
Emmerdale insider. “The fact that Rebecca is expecting Robert’s baby is the reason why he and Aaron split up
– and her growing bump has proved a constant reminder of Robert’s infidelity ever since. So the last place Aaron wants to be when the child is finally about to make its appearance is stuck in the middle of nowhere – and with no means of escaping the situation!”
Understandably, Aaron isn’t keen to help when Victoria pleads with the mechanic to check out Rebecca’s unreliable car. But both girls are in tow as he takes it for a test-drive in a bid to get to the bottom of what’s wrong. True to form, the vehicle hits trouble – and Aaron is under the bonnet when Rebecca announces that her waters have broken!
While the baby’s father continues to manipulate Rebecca’s dad Lawrence, it’s up to poor Aaron – along with Robert’s sister Victoria – to save the day. But with the helpless trio stuck out in the sticks, will terrified

Aaron will be determined not to be around when that happens – but will he have any choice in the matter?”
