Tensions boil over between Fiz and
Beth this week, when furious Beth finds out about the cheque Fiz and Tyrone received through the crowdfunding website!
The factory girls have fallen on hard times since Adam and Eva’s revenge plan tore apart Underworld. Although some of the ex-employees have been lucky to find a bit of work elsewhere, Beth has been relying on the online page to start a new business making headscarves for children with cancer – citing Hope’s own cancer story on the site.
However, when a donation was sent to Fiz and Tyrone, with the benefactor under the impression Hope was still battling the illness, the conflicted couple eventually decided to spend the money on a new van for Ty’s scrap business. And after Tyrone initially pretends the sudden influx of cash is down to the death of his uncle, Beth is fuming when she learns where the money really came from…
“Oh, she is livid!” confirms our Corrie insider. “Beth has been really struggling financially, and thought that Fiz was in the same boat, so was genuinely pleased after she heard that Tyrone had come into some money. But that was when she thought it came from the will of a relative – not the crowdfunding site that she’s a part of! Beth wouldn’t have persuaded Fiz not to accept the cash, but she thinks it’s only fair that the factory girls get a bit of the bacon, too.”
As expected, Beth wants answers and goes nuts, accusing Fiz of scamming all her friends. When the ladies’ tempers then flare, things get physical and it’s left to the police to pull them apart! But still reeling from Fiz’s betrayal, Beth makes a shocking threat…
“Beth is still very angry, and snaps when she sees that Fiz and Tyrone have gone on a big shopping spree,” explains our snitch. “So she threatens to report them to the police for fraud! Ultimately, Fiz is her pal and she wouldn’t really want to see her get punished by the law. But Beth has a tendency to act without thinking, so Fiz and Tyrone could be in trouble if she delivers on her warning.”
Can Fiz make things right with her friend, or will vengeful Beth be sending her on a trip to the police station?
