Yes! I’ve not won anything in 20 years – not a single thing. I’m over the moon! I can’t believe it – I’m genuinely touched and gleeful. I love it at Emmerdale and I’m so happy to be employed in one of the best jobs in the world.
What do you reckon is the secret of Paddy’s success?
Well, I thought everyone would hate him when he tried to take Leo to New Zealand – and then he had an affair! But nobody can be a saint all the time, and luckily everybody still loves Paddy. He has his faults, yet he’s a good person at heart.
So is your one and only prize set to have pride of place?
I’ll definitely be putting it somewhere safe where I can see it – it’s one jagged piece of metal! I used to be a welder, and we’d never have been allowed to have something that pointy just lying around…
