Sinead cosies up to Daniel

THERE’S STILL A SPARK WITH DANIEL…

- Kate White

Drunk Sinead puts her engagement on the line this week, as she grows closer to former boyfriend Daniel.

With the strain of being stepmum to grieving Joseph taking its toll, Sinead decides to spend an afternoon off at the Rovers. While there, she knocks back the booze and it’s clear that she’s in a bad place. Worried Daniel spots Sinead and takes her to his flat to sober up – and there’s no denying their chemistry…

“Sinead has done everything she can to steer clear of Daniel,” says our Corrie insider. “She can’t help but be drawn to him, though. Being around him sparks feelings in her that she’s desperate to quash. Yet when they’re alone and Sinead’s guard is down, she admits that there’s still something there between them. That’s when Daniel leans in for a kiss.”

What Sinead doesn’t know is that while she’s been at Daniel’s place, Joseph has been involved in an accident. She can’t believe it as she emerges from the flat to discover a commotion on the Street – and is horrified to discover Joseph has been hurt. Worse still, Tracy takes great delight in telling Chesney that she saw Sinead leaving Daniel’s home just after it happened. He’s mortified to hear that Sinead has been spending time alone with Daniel, and wants to do all he can to end their friendship. But is Chesney too late?

“Lines have been crossed this week, and Sinead’s head is all over the place,” shares our spy. “She feels guilty about Joseph getting hurt, and is convinced that she’s a rubbish stepmum and an awful person. Everything seems to be going wrong for Sinead and Ches, and it’s much harder than she thought it would be.”

It’s Daniel who’s there to comfort Sinead as she blames herself, and Ches is furious to see them so close and intimate. He knows that Daniel will always be a threat, and that he needs to put some distance between his rival and Sinead. Given Daniel’s troubled history, there’s plenty of ammunition for Ches to use if he wants to wage war on him, especially as Daniel has a terrifying temper. Determined to ensure Daniel loses it, Ches makes a booking at the Bistro
