Sarah is badly injured
SARAH GETS HURT WHILE OUT WITH HER MUM’S FANCY MAN, TOM…
There’s a nightmare for Debbie this week – when Sarah gets hurt in a quad bike accident while out with Tom.
It all kicks off after the rich fella takes out the youngster so they can get to know each other better, and Sarah crashes and is knocked unconscious. Horrified Debbie rushes to her daughter’s side, and Tom feels terrible about putting Sarah in harm’s way. Is the incident enough to destroy the burgeoning relationship between Debbie and Tom?
“It’s still early days for this romance, and she’s never sure whether to trust him or not,” shares our Emmerdale insider. “Debbie is always nervous about introducing people into her circle, especially since she’s had such bad experiences. To give Tom that chance involved a huge leap of faith for Debbie, and now she’s wondering if she made a big mistake.”

He’s shocked by the force of her anger, and wonders if there is any hope for them after all, especially as Debbie seems nervous about going public with their relationship. And he’s right to be worried – until

Debbie makes a declaration of devotion by kissing Tom in front of her family and friends.
“Let’s not forget, Debbie is the person who almost married a serial killer!” says our source. “She has quite a reputation in the love stakes, and bad boy Ross Barton is still madly in love with her. Bringing Tom to Emmerdale and introducing him to the Dingles is a risk, and Debbie needs this one to pay off. She can’t put herself, or her kids, through any more heartbreak.”
Although the Dingles soon warm to Tom, it’s not long before disaster strikes thanks to Sarah’s accident – forcing Debbie to decide whether Tom can be part of their future or not. Will she give Tom the answer he wants to hear?
