Is festive fun the last thing in store in the Dales this year?
Having been plagued by pain and tragedy in 2017, the Dales definitely deserve a happy Christmas! But as trees are trimmed and crackers pulled, will the festive season finally bring some much-needed merriment for the troubled village residents – or is there yet more misery on the cards?
ROBERT’S RESCUE?
With the Dales’ Christmas Day episode set to feature Robert at its heart, will his past cruelty leave the fella cold and alone – or could a shock series of events change everything for him? After breaking his beloved Aaron’s heart and betraying the mother of his newborn son Seb, there are few festivities in store for the selfish Sugden. But with the promise that this special episode will also feature a surprise cameo appearance, might whoever it is save Robert from his pain?
“This episode is an unusual concept,” teases Danny Miller, who plays Aaron. “When I read the script, it was kind of baffling. But at the end of it, everything that needs answering about ‘Robron’ is answered. It’s very clever!”
As Aaron’s family urge him to seek happiness in the arms of doctor Alex, Robert contemplates trying to win back his ex – but is Aaron finally ready to move on without him? Meanwhile, Rebecca and the Whites have rejected Robert after his bid to ruin them, meaning his hopes of sharing baby Seb’s first Christmas are scuppered. But as the big day dawns, can broken Robert be rescued?
DEBBIE DOOMED?
With Tom and
Debbie’s romance moving at pace, there’s plenty we don’t know about her wealthy new beau. However, with the mystery man eager to spend some quality time with Debs over the festive period, he’s clearly a keen bean! While her nearest and dearest face a Christmas housing crisis, Debbie and her kids look forward to unwrapping their gifts in the beautiful new home bought for them by Tom. But as he showers his girlfriend with presents, is there more to Tom’s generosity than meets the eye?
Debbie’s not one to be easily bought, and she’s taken plenty of convincing to let Tom into her life. However, as the pair grow closer this Christmas, there could be a big price to pay come the new year…
DINGLE DESPAIR!
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a raucous Dingle gathering. But as they tuck into turkey around the homestead table, is it the last Yuletide in their home? Despite Wishing Well being earmarked for demolition to make way for a new golf course, the Dingles are determined to keep hold of their beloved property – but the law isn’t on their side, and not for the first time.
