Darcy escapes – with Tom’s cash?
WILL SHE FLEE THE VILLAGE WITH TOM’S INHERITANCE MONEY?
Adam finally agrees to let his scheming ex Darcy see her son Toby this week – unaware that she’s planning to snatch the little lad and flee the country for Florida!
Darcy has had no contact with her boy since the truth about Glenn being his biological father came out, and Adam chucked her out of the flat. Toby decided to stay living with Adam instead – but now Darcy is plotting to get her son back…
“While Darcy is a manipulator and a liar, her love for Toby is real,” reckons Aisling Jarrett- Gavin, who plays her. “So for him to have rejected her is really hard for her to deal with. She’s devastated – everything she does is for her son, even though from an outsider’s point of view she’s probably not a very good mum!”
Since being thrown out on to the street by Adam, Darcy’s been taken in by kindly Jack – who refuses to heed Maxine and Nancy’s warnings that his new lodger is trouble. He’s even given her a job at the Bean, and it’s while Darcy is working there that she hears the news that Tom’s substantial inheritance has come through.
“As soon as Darcy learns about the cash, she knows that she needs to get her hands on it!” chuckles Aisling. “It’s really interesting news for her, and you can see the cogs turning. I can’t tell you exactly what her plan is, but she sees a chance to get out of Hollyoaks with Toby, and be looked after for the rest of her life.”
Darcy’s scheme seems to be coming to fruition when Adam finally agrees to let her spend some time with Toby. She’s over the moon to be reunited with her boy, and puts the wheels in motion to flee with him. However, it seems that winning round Toby will be harder than she thought…
“Darcy is overwhelmed when she sees Toby – it’s incredible,” grins Aisling. “Being with her son again is the best thing, but because Adam has been telling Toby about all the things his mum has done, he’s hard to win over. She does have to do a bit of manipulating, which probably isn’t the best course of action! She’ll do whatever she needs to at this point, though.”
So will Darcy get her hands on the cash and flee Hollyoaks with Toby? We certainly hope not, as we love watching her
