Battersbys vs Connors: it’s on!

There’s all-out war in the Rovers this week – as Michelle and Carla clash violently with the Battersby sisters!
Michelle is enraged after she overhears Toyah confessing to being two-faced with Carla, and decides to call her out in public. It’s an awkward moment for the landlady, but she bites back at Michelle – who proceeds to throw a drink in her face! That’s when Leanne rushes to Toyah’s aid and Carla backs up Michelle…
“The claws are out – it’s catfight time!” chuckles our
Corrie mole. “There is no love lost between these women, and it looks like any hope of a truce is gone. Both the Connors and the Battersbys have a fearsome reputation and don’t mind fighting dirty. It’s hard to decide which clan is scarier!”
Toyah’s mistake comes as she tries to keep her enemy close by befriending Carla. She’s worried after hearing Carla and Peter reminiscing about old times together, and is convinced that the glam Connor is a threat to her relationship. Although Peter swears he’s a one-woman man and that he and Carla are in the past, the spark between them remains evident.
So Toyah decides to kill her rival with kindness – and when Leanne quizzes her, Toyah reveals her plan. She can’t stand confrontational Carla, but hopes that by getting to know her, she can work out how to keep Peter and his ex apart. Unfortunately, Michelle overhears every word…
“No one slates a Connor and gets away with it!” declares our snitch. “After Michelle
drenches Toyah, Leanne and Carla get involved – and it’s not pretty. Eva tries to hold Leanne back, but only ends up slinging insults too. Then, just when it looks like the row might be cooling down, Carla takes it upon herself to throw a drink over Toyah as well! Forget about friendship, they are now mortal enemies!”
Bearing in mind the depth of the enmity between them all, even professional counsellor Toyah will likely struggle to convince everyone to give peace a chance. She and Carla are fighting over Peter, and Michelle hates Leanne for having a secret baby with her ex-husband Steve – in short, it’s a recipe for disaster.
But given how close they all have to live, and the fact that Toyah runs the local pub, will she have no choice but to put up with Carla’s presence?
