The BIG DEBATE!

-

Things took a dramatic turn over at Walford General when Max barricaded himself in Abi’s hospital room, refusing to believe that she was dead! But was it just his guilty conscience talking? I find it really hard to have any sympathy for Max. While I understand that it would be heartbreaking for any dad to see his daughter in the state that Abi’s in, he’s forgetting that he was the one who put her there in the first place!

Max wanting to take Abi abroad for pioneering new treatment just seemed like an attempt to ease his own crushing guilt. The truth is that she’s gone, and Max can’t handle the fact that her death is totally down to him.

However, some of you do feel for Max and what he’s going through right now…

You can see why Max wasn’t ready to let Abi go – if one of my kids was in that position, I’d be clutching at straws and trying everything I could to save them as well. I know that Max has done some terrible things, but he’s going to have to live with Abi’s death for the rest of his life. I think that’s the worst punishment anyone could inflict on him.

| Beverley Everyone’s been so quick to criticise Max’s behaviour, but where has Tanya been these past couple of weeks? Her daughter is at death’s door in hospital, and she’s nowhere to be seen! What a farce.

| Sandra, Wakefield Why did Eastenders have to drag out Abi’s death for so long? I was just willing her to hurry up and die already.

| Imran

At least Lorna Fitzgerald’s last weeks were easy ones!
