Rana confesses to Zeedan
ZEEDAN’S WORLD FALLS APART…
Rana floors her husband Zeedan this week, as she tearfully confesses she’s in love with someone else.
Zeedan is stunned when his wife admits to being unfaithful, but refuses to name her mystery lover. Horrified and heartbroken, Zeedan makes it his mission to discover who Rana has been seeing, and mistakenly presumes that it’s his boss, Robert. Will he find out it’s actually his good friend Kate who did the dirty on him?
“After Rana tells Zeedan, he’s in shock and disbelief – he can’t get his head around it,” explains Qasim Akhtar, who plays the betrayed fella. “They’ve just come home from Luke’s funeral, so emotions are running high. Zeedan assumes Rana is crying for Luke, so he comforts her. But then she starts talking about what a bad person she is, and when he asks what she means, she tells him she loves someone else!”
It’s a bolt from the blue, and Zeedan is left reeling as he attempts to process what he’s hearing. But before long he’s trying to work out the identity of his love rival – and jumps to the wrong conclusion.
“Rana doesn’t tell him who it is, so he goes through her pockets and finds this love note that has the Bistro logo on it,” explains Qasim. “Zeedan automatically assumes it must be Robert, so he flies into the restaurant and gets into a scrap with his boss! He feels so betrayed because Robert is someone he looks up to, and they’ve worked closely in the kitchen for a long time. Zeedan never expected Robert would do something like this.”
Blameless Robert is caught by surprise, but he’s already in the know about Rana’s affair. Although Zeedan’s behaviour is out of order, Robert does understand why he’s so angry. How will Zeedan react when he discovers that Robert is innocent, and Rana’s secret lover is his friend Kate?

believe it’s a woman, so that is going to be another blow. He’s been through so much in his life that people might wonder if this will push Zeedan over the edge…”
It’s not long before Rana packs her bags and heads to stay with her brother Imran, leaving devastated Zeedan by himself. He soon reaches for the bottle, despite his religious beliefs – and it looks as if he could be sliding into the abyss.
“Zeedan is set to go down the wrong path, like a lot of people would do in his shoes,” warns Qasim. “Whereas I’d tell him, ‘Move on, brother!’. Realistically he’s not going to be okay straight away, but time is a great healer. Zeedan needs to crack on with his life.”
