Masood steals from Mariam…
MARIAM IS NOT GOING TO BE HAPPY…
Masood ties himself up in knots this week, as he tries to swindle a winning recipe out of his Aunt Mariam in the hopes of making a killing on the market. But he soon finds he’s bitten off more than he can chew!
As the week begins, the feckless fella begins his new job at Beale’s Plaice and sets about revolutionising the traditional chippy menu. Unfortunately for Mas, his radical spicing on the chips wins few fans – but he does accidentally discover that Mariam’s samosas delight rubbish collector Robbie.
After Robbie suggests selling them on the market, Masood soon starts to see pound signs – and embarks on a sly mission to try to steal the recipe and pass himself off as the master chef…
He runs into problems almost immediately when he’s caught rooting around in cook books by Arshad and Mariam. They want to know why he’s after the samosa secrets, but Masood can’t tell them that he plans to flog them on the market. Luckily, though, an easy excuse presents itself!
“Mariam and Arshad presume he is trying to impress a date by cooking for her, so they’re only too happy to give Mas the recipe,” says our Walford insider. “We all know they’d like nothing better than to see Masood settle down, and this could be a sign he is finally sorting out his life.”
However, Masood soon hits another stumbling block when his samosas are nowhere near as tasty as his aunt’s. Desperate to keep Robbie and co onside, he begs
Mariam to whip some up for his supposed girlfriend’s clan, then takes them to Robbie and the rest of his customers, insisting that they were his creation! Sneaky Masood is very pleased with himself – until he realises Mariam has rumbled his tissue of lies.
In his efforts to get himself established again, poor Masood just looks pathetic”
“In his efforts to get himself established again and win his family’s respect, poor Masood just looks pathetic,” sighs our mole. “However, while his aunt is furious, she has a plan…”
Contrite Masood agrees to meet a woman Mariam has lined up for him, and is stunned when she arrives that very day. Noor turns out to be lovely, and Mas works overtime to impress her in front of the kin. But will there be a spark – or will Masood have to let Noor down gently?
