Tracy drowns her sorrows

The Tracy of old comes roaring back this week, as she goes on a date with another man to punish David! But while she believes it’s just harmless flirtation with a stranger, her fella Phil may not be what he seems…
Having arrived home from a holiday in Paris, the Metcalfes are all loved up, but say their goodbyes as David heads off to a conference. Unfortunately, he leaves his phone behind, and Tracy later looks at it.
She can’t believe it when she sees a text from Leyla, leading her to believe that something is going on between David and his ex. However, instead of confronting her husband on his return, Tracy allows her fury to simmer, and finds a way to take revenge after handyman Phil flirts with her.
“Tracy has inadvertently sparked a chain of events that could cost her family dearly,” says our Dales source. “To her, Phil is just the local handyman and someone who’s there for her to flirt with as she struggles with her suspicions about David and Leyla. But it seems there’s much more to this than Tracy could ever have imagined!”
Seething Tracy takes Phil to the pub for a drink and is soon flirting for Yorkshire as she knocks back the booze. Phil seems to be enjoying having a laugh with a pretty blonde – but Tracy’s friends soon notice she’s had one too many, and call her sister Vanessa to come to the rescue. Vanessa can’t believe the state of her sibling, and is gobsmacked that she’s got some random fella with her – and after she drags Tracy home, David tries to explain the text and appease his wife.
However, as Tracy and David appear to reconcile, what of her date? We later see the handyman looking at pictures of a younger Tracy on his phone, and it becomes clear that he knows more about the shopkeeper’s wife than he’s been letting on…
“We all know that Tracy has a bit of a past, and has done things she isn’t proud of,” says our mole. “Tracy didn’t realise when she was talking to Phil – and letting her mouth run away with her – that he might have a connection to that past. So has she revealed too much to him about her new life?”
