HUNTER HAS A WEDDING IN MIND – BUT WILL OLIVIA GO FOR IT?
Teenager Hunter plans to pop the question to his girlfriend Olivia this week – but has he really thought it through?
The pair have been together for some time, and Hunter is convinced that Olivia is the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with. So he arranges a romantic date at Salt, and prepares to ask Olivia to be his wife…
“Hunter actually buys an engagement ring when he’s drunk,” chuckles Scott Lee, who plays him. “So after that I guess he has to ask Olivia to marry him! But seriously, he does love her, and he thinks now is as good a time as any.”
Hunter goes with the tried and tested method of hiding the ring in Olivia’s champagne glass, and hopes she’ll be over the moon when she spots it. However, in true Summer Bay style, things don’t go to plan!
“The glass of bubbly gets knocked on the floor,” cringes Scott. “Not only does Liv think that the ring is meant for someone else, but she also thinks it’s horrible! Hunter’s a bit embarrassed at this point.”
We’re not at all surprised! But Liv’s reaction doesn’t put Hunter off his proposal plan…
“It makes him realise that he needs to do it properly and go all out,” Scott tells us. “But my advice to Hunter would be, ‘Don’t do it, mate’!
“Once upon a time, I would have said that Hunter and Olivia were perfectly suited,” he adds. “But their lives have taken different directions – and I don’t think they complement each other in a healthy way.”
