Actor and comic Ardal O’hanlon picks his dream viewing…
The last drama I watched was The Sinner on Netflix,
which I loved. It’s incredibly dark and quite disturbing actually, so I don’t know if I would even recommend it – but it was brilliant! I also loved Ozark, also on Netflix, which I thought was really twisted and constantly inventive.
While I was out in Guadeloupe shooting Death In Paradise,
I really got into Big Little Lies.
I’m not normally one for binge-watching, but for that one I did – partly because the internet didn’t work very well, so when I got a good signal I watched as many episodes as possible!
I’m an avid student of film history
– I want to watch every film that’s ever been made!
If I had to pick a favourite I’d probably go back to one of those 70s epics like
The Deer Hunter, Apocalypse Now or the Godfather films, as they’re ones I can watch over and over again.
If I could be in any other show, it’d be Match Of The Day
– playing! But that’s not going to happen, is it? I don’t know – but it would be great to be in something like Happy Valley, maybe.
If I’ve wanted to just relax, recently I’ve been watching Rick And Morty
with my son, and that’s great fun. It’s always nice to find things that you can watch with your family, and we’ve really been enjoying that – it’s just silly.
