Vincent confesses all to Kim

The Hubbard marriage is in turmoil this week, after Vincent finally musters the courage to tell Kim that they’re broke!
News of their financial dire straits is the ultimate slap in the face for his missus, who is used to exploiting her hubby’s bank balance and living the life of Riley. But as Vincent is also forced to admit that his cash crisis is the least of their problems, will Kim head for the hills – or stand by her man?
“This will be a true test of Kim and Vincent’s relationship,” reckons our Walford insider. “She has always taken her husband’s money for granted. And you do have to wonder what means more to her: their marriage, or the perks that come with it?
“Truth be told, Kim loves Vincent very dearly – so the fact that he has been lying to her is what will hurt the most.”
The story comes spilling out as Vincent crumbles under pressure from Aidan, who is forcing him to sell The Albert. With the sale dragging on, Vincent instructs his agent to pull out of the deal and go with a quicker buyer. However, as Aidan demands that Vincent cough up a down payment, he starts to really feel the strain – and knows he’ll have to come up with some dosh quickly.
Meanwhile, Kim still has no idea of the extent of their money woes. So when Vincent returns home to find that she has hired Karen as their new cleaner, he has to struggle to maintain his composure. Of course, that doesn’t stop his wife from going out and splashing even more cash – prompting Vincent to snap and confess the truth.
“Kim is livid, naturally – but the way she handles Vincent’s admission might come as a surprise to some viewers,” reckons our informant. “She’s very proactive and suggests taking out a loan – and with some wise words from Patrick ringing in her ears, she agrees to go easy on Vincent. But that lasts about as long as it takes

Kim is understandably suspicious that her husband isn’t telling her the whole story, so she cooks a meal to coerce him into fessing up. Soon after, Vincent is forced to admit that he’s fallen in with the wrong crowd, prompting Kim to offer to sell her engagement ring. However, when
Vincent refuses, she loses patience and storms off.
“Vincent attempts to build bridges with Kim the following day – and, after the two of them finally talk, she tells him that she has a plan to solve their problem,” says our mole. “But Kim’s one condition is that Vincent stop getting involved with all these bad people.”
However, with a wolf like Aidan baying for blood at Vincent’s door, that may be easier said than done. Something tells us that the Hubbards aren’t out of the woods just yet…
