Zeedan makes a move on Leanne
LEANNE REJECTS HIS ADVANCES…
This is the mortifying moment when Zeedan tries to move on from his wife Rana’s affair – by lunging in for a snog with Leanne! It’s awkward to say the least, given that Leanne was once on the verge of becoming Zeedan’s stepmum before his father Kal died…
“The horrified look on Leanne’s face says it all, and Zee is left under no illusion as to how she feels about it,” cringes our Corrie insider. “He is clearly troubled in the wake of Rana’s betrayal, and isn’t in control of his emotions.”
Having had a few weeks to process the fact that his wife Rana was cheating with their good friend Kate, devastated Zeedan is still struggling – especially now her parents are bankrolling his catering business on the proviso that they stay married for a year.
However, their grubby offer is doing little to paper over the cracks as Zee persists with numbing his pain by drinking, while continuing his mission to make Rana’s life a misery.
His commitment to that endeavour is stronger than ever this week, after he hears Phelan telling Alya and Kate that they need to find a new tenant. Zeedan suggests to Sophie that she should throw her hat in the ring, knowing the idea of Kate and Sophie living together will hurt Rana.
Much to Kate’s chagrin, the deal is done (see p38 for more on that story) – and spiteful
Zeedan wastes no time in telling Rana.
But is his cruel treatment just a smokescreen to cover up the fact that he is lost without her?
“Deep down, Zeedan is still very much in love with Rana,” insists our source. “He’s choosing to lash out at her because he can, not because he’s taking any real pleasure from it.”
Heartbroken by his situation, Zeedan confides in Leanne and admits that his feelings for Rana never went away. Speaking as a friend, Leanne tells him that he will eventually find love again – and seeing how distraught he is, she agrees to stay for dinner.
However, Zeedan misreads her kindness for more – and that’s when he plants an uninvited kiss on her! His advances are not well-received, as Leanne recoils instantly and flees the Nazir household, with Zeedan chasing after her.
Will he manage to convince her that he made a mistake, or has Zee ruined one of the few meaningful relationships he has left?
