Laurel & Bob caught by Brenda?

A BRUSH WITH DEATH SEES BOB AND LAUREL FINALLY REVEAL THEIR LOVE FOR EACH OTHER – BUT AT WHAT PRICE?

-

Laurel and Bob are thrown back into each other’s arms by a terrible accident this week – and finally admit their true feelings to one another. But just as they’re getting passionate, the worst possible person is about to walk in on them…

“The moment they come together is like fireworks going off between Laurel and Bob,” explains Charlotte Bellamy, who plays her. “But neither realises that Brenda is coming up the path towards the house and is about to arrive at the open front door!”

Laurel has been trying to resist her attraction to Bob, which began with a heart-to-heart and led to the two of them falling into bed together. Meanwhile, Brenda has reconciled with Bob after leaving him when she discovered he’d slept with someone else – though she remains unaware of the other woman’s identity. But it seems both Laurel and

Bob have been fooling themselves.

“Sleeping together was an impulse – they were finding comfort in each other,” sighs Charlotte. “Since then, Laurel has tried to put it behind her, because Bob’s taken and she doesn’t want to hurt anyone. She feels rotten about what she did to Brenda – it’s the last thing you’d expect someone like Laurel to do. But it’s hard to put your feelings aside when the person you have feelings for lives over the road!”

The pair’s rekindled passion comes after an emotional week for Laurel. It’s discovered that the window designed in memory of Laurel’s late husband Ashley has been shattered, leaving her distraught. It’s not long before Ashley’s good mate Bob turns up to help Laurel fix it – which is when he realises that they are a great deal more than just good friends.

“The broken window is very upsetting for Laurel, and Bob comes to her rescue,” shares Charlotte. “He cares very much about how she feels because she’s becoming more and more important to him – and the audience will come to realise that what happened between them was more than a one-night stand. Bob can’t cope with his feelings at this point, though, and ends up rushing off…”

“It’s hard to put aside feelings for someone living over the road!”
