Have Laurel & Bob been rumbled?
THE WEDDING IS STILL ON – BUT HAS SHE RUMBLED HIS AFFAIR?
There are tense scenes in the café this week, in the wake of Bob and Laurel’s latest passionate clinch. But has Brenda discovered that her fella is still cheating on her?
After Brenda declares that she and Bob are setting their wedding date, relieved Laurel assumes she’s none the wiser about her recent indiscretion with Bob. Does Brenda know more than she’s saying, though?
“The cheery look on Brenda’s face suggests that she can’t wait to be Bob’s wife – but looks can be deceptive!” warns our Dales spy. “Who can say what’s really going on behind that happy smile? When Bob and Laurel kissed in Laurel’s kitchen after expressing how much they cared for each other, they were oblivious to the fact that Brenda was walking up the garden path towards them. So did she catch them at it, but is keeping quiet while she plots revenge?”
Once Bob and Laurel confessed their true feelings in the aftermath of Laurel breaking her arm, it seemed Bob had made his choice about who he wanted to be with. However, it’s clear he’s said nothing to Brenda when she informs
Dan that they’ll be sorting the date of their nuptials as soon as possible… “Laurel seems relieved by Brenda’s announcement, even if it means Bob is still keeping their romance under wraps,” muses our insider. “In typical Bob style, he’s terrified of rocking the boat. Despite the fact that he and Laurel want to be together, they can’t bear the idea of breaking Brenda’s heart. So even now, the lies keep coming and coming!”
However, Bob and Laurel’s relief might have blinded them to what’s really going on with Brenda. She may be wittering on about wedding plans while Bob and Laurel exchange secret glances, but Brenda’s not nearly as blasé as she seems at first glance. She was having serious doubts about marrying Bob in the first place,
“In typical Bob style, he just won’t rock the boat”
so of course those concerns could be bugging her – but when Brenda asks Laurel for advice on choosing a wedding dress, her manner suggests her brain is working overtime.
“There’s a definite tone of passive aggression in the way Brenda approaches Laurel,” observes our sneak. “Laurel is quick to respond to Brenda’s request, so she doesn’t notice the underlying tension. But does Brenda simply have a hunch about the nature of Bob and Laurel’s friendship, or is she going to take the ultimate revenge on two people who are meant to love her?”
