It’s a sad week for the residents of Summer Bay, as they gather to bid farewell to fallen cop Kat – along with her baby boy.
Tragic Kat met a sticky end after she was involved in a collision with another car while she and fugitive Robbo were fleeing the Bay. Attempts to save her unborn son also proved futile – leaving the little lad’s distraught father Ash truly shattered…
“Ash has suffered a lot of loss in his life, but this is the worst pain he’s ever known,” sighs our Summer Bay source. “He gave up his niece Luc so he could have a future with his own child – so to lose his son is heartbreaking. And let’s not forget that he still cared for Kat very deeply as well.”
As the week kicks off, the locals are in shock after the tragic events that led to Kat’s death. However, while her loved ones try to make sense of the awful loss, Ash has only one thing in mind – tracking down Robbo, and making him pay for Kat’s death!
Ash believes that Kat and his son are dead because Robbo chose to do a runner following the crash, rather than sticking around to get help. And Ash’s girlfriend Tori is left seriously worried after he makes it clear that Robbo is a dead man when he catches up with him.
Things quickly go from bad to worse as Justin discovers the address of the cabin that Robbo was hiding out in before the crash, and passes it on to Ash! Tori is devastated when she realises that her boyfriend and brother have gone after the wanted man, and can only hope and pray they’re not able to find him.
“As the day of the funeral dawns, there’s no sign of Ash – and Tori fears that he’s done
something terrible,” reveals our spy. “So when he arrives back in town she’s overcome with relief, and vows to be by his side as he lays his son to rest.”
It’s an emotional moment when Ash says goodbye to his little boy, and the town mourns for their friend Kat. But the big question is: will Robbo show his face to bid farewell to the woman he loved so much?
