Mishti pregnant – but is Leo dead?
MISHTI’S PREGNANT – BUT LEO’S CRUSHED…
Erinsborough cop Mishti gets the shock of her life this week, when she’s called out to an accident – only to discover her other half Leo has been crushed by a slab of concrete!
Poor Mishti is devastated to see her man in such a terrible state, especially as she has some big news to tell him: she’s pregnant…
“Mishti’s on her way to tell Leo about the baby when the accident happens,” explains Scarlet Vas, who plays the mum-to-be. “She gets a call out at work and thinks nothing of it, then arrives to find Leo being crushed by a piece of concrete! All she can do is tell him that she loves him and pray that he’s okay.”
Leo is rushed to hospital where the doctors give him the once over, and thankfully it turns out that his injuries are not lifethreatening. So with Leo out of the woods, Mishti is able to break her news…
“Once Mishti knows Leo is safe they have a chat, and she tells him about the baby,” reveals Scarlet. “She’s been scared to talk to him as she’s unsure how he’ll react – after all, it is a fresh relationship. It’s not as if they’re married or even trying for a baby.”
So are Mishti and Leo set to be parents? Whatever they decide, it seems as though they won’t be able to keep their news secret for long.
“Kirsha actually starts to get her hearing back right at the point they’re talking about the baby!” cringes Scarlet. “Before they know it, Mishti’s whole family knows she’s pregnant! She and Leo aren’t sure if they even want to have the baby yet – but they’re forced to go along with the family’s celebrations…”
