Cindy’s stealing shame
THE OPENING DAY OF HER NEW FOOD TRUCK ENDS IN DISASTER…
Cindy is left mortified this week – when Tom publicly shames her for stealing from him! She secretly took £10,000 from her half-brother after finding out her ex-hubby
Tony had gone into business with pals Luke and Darren to reopen restaurant The Hutch. And when you get on the wrong side of Cindy, she doesn’t just get mad, she gets even – which is why she parks her new food truck, Cindy’s Hatch, right outside the restaurant…
“There’s nothing wrong with a bit of friendly rivalry!” laughs Steph Waring, who plays Cindy. “Cindy grew up with these guys and doesn’t really understand why they left her out of their restaurant plans. She genuinely feels quite hurt by their rejection. So now she’s on her high horse and thinks,
‘If they can do it, I can do it even better!’”
But the boys shouldn’t worry about being put out of business by Cindy any time soon. Little do they know that as her opening day approaches, she still doesn’t have a menu, chef or any food for her mobile munch box!
Accordingly, desperate
Cindy has to sweet-talk her estranged hubby Dirk and lodger Milo into helping sort her crisis, and Milo succeeds in poaching Tony’s restaurant chef Ste. Will Cindy learn anything from this experience?
“Cindy is feeling very anxious on opening day,” reveals Steph. “Things don’t get off to a great start. She’s spent most of her time working on her speech and seems to have forgotten her food truck will actually need some food!”
Meanwhile, Cindy is still hiding the secret that she nicked thousands of pounds from her own sibling to pay for her new venture.
“Poor Cindy is carrying a tremendous amount of guilt on her shoulders,” sighs Steph. “But she can’t let Tom find out

she stole the money. It is one of the worst things she has done – and there would be a huge family bust-up if the truth ever came out.”
Unfortunately, just as everything is ready for trade, Cindy’s biggest nightmare comes true. Although it remains to be seen how Tom learns of his sister’s deception, it’s safe to say he doesn’t take it well! At the grand launch of Cindy’s Hatch, Tom takes to the microphone to make a speech – and Cindy is stunned when he exposes her as a thief!
Will the fast-food eatery be shut down in the ensuing scandal? And will Cindy pay a terrible price for her crime by being ostracized from the Cunningham family?
