Hull and high water
As much as we love this series exploring the many secrets of Britain’s coastline, we do have one (small) criticism: we don’t really like the way it dishes out its stories in instalments – we’d prefer our history in satisfying, complete chunks, rather than trying to keep track of two or three stories. Other than that, though, this has become one of our Saturday telly treats.
Tonight the team are in
East Yorkshire, where Oliver Hutchinson visits the remains of the Godwin Artillery Battery to explore how even sturdy concrete crumbles at the mercy of coastal erosion. And Tori Herridge heads to Hull, to hear the peculiar story of two ships that were constructed in a now-vanished Hull shipyard and ended up in Lake Titicaca.
