Phil and Sharon’s already-fraught relationship ends up deteriorating even further this week – when she catches him getting cosy with another woman!
The couple’s marriage has been on the rocks ever since Phil found out that Sharon was the mystery thief who stole the swag from the New Year’s Day heist. And despite the fact that Sharon has had to put up with plenty of Phil’s bad behaviour over the years, her apology for stealing the loot has fallen on deaf ears…
“Phil is furious that Sharon’s actions put him and everyone involved in the heist in deadly danger from Aidan,” explains our Walford spy. “As well as Phil’s own flesh and blood, his neighbours the Carters and the Fox-hubbards also felt the full force of Aidan’s wrath.
“Aidan may finally be out of the picture after his and Phil’s showdown, but Phil still isn’t able to bring himself to forgive his light-fingered wife,” adds our source. “The way that he sees it, if Sharon hadn’t helped herself to the money, the past few weeks’ terror and violence could have been avoided.”
With an awkward atmosphere at the Mitchell house, Sharon confides in best mate Michelle about the situation. Although she shies away from explaining the details of what’s gone on, Sharon says enough for Michelle to offer some wise words. Soon, Sharon feels as if she’s making some progress – but she’s in for a big shock!
