Couch POTATO
Actress Amrita Acharia picks her dream viewing…
I’ve just started watching The Good Place
– literally one episode and it’s very quick! There’s a Netflix show called Call
My Agent!, which is brilliant. It’s a French series, Dix Pour
Cent, which translates to 10 per cent – what agents take from actors. It’s amazing because I think, “Oh my God, actors are so annoying!” I told my agent: “I get where you’re coming from now!”
I’m obsessed with Suits
at the moment. I’m so late to the game, but it’s become my go-to when I need to switch off. I love the clothes and the costume design on it, but it’s also fast-paced and I love the writing. I’ve just watched Next Of Kin and Trauma too. I grew up in Ukraine and Kathmandu, so my favourite show as a child was something called Nu,
Pogodi! It’s a bit like Tom And Jerry, but it’s a wolf and a rabbit, and it’s actually really political – if you have a chance, Google it! That, and Bollywood movies – growing up in Nepal, I was quite exposed to those.
I know that some people have the TV on in the background, but I can’t do that – I have music on. If the TV is on, I’ve got to watch it.
Recently, I saw the movie Molly’s
Game, which was brilliant. I love Jessica Chastain so much, she’s so inspiring. And I really, really loved that there were no sex scenes in it; considering the world it was about, I thought that was amazing.
