Tracy turfs Billy out on the street

BILLY’S BACK FROM REHAB, BUT HIS TROUBLES AREN’T OVER…

- Kate White

Recovering addict Billy arrives back on the Street with a bump this week – as callous Tracy turfs him out.

She’s the landlord of the flat that Billy shares with Summer, and Billy’s failed to pay the rent for three months. Clearly there are extenuating circumstances, but Tracy decides she doesn’t want him as a tenant, and is brutal in telling him so. What will Billy and Summer do now?

“As a fragile recovering drug user, Billy needs patience and understanding – only for Tracy to label him a ‘junkie’ and kick him out!” reveals our cobbles snitch. “We thought Tracy had got a bit nicer of late, but she doesn’t care that Billy has been to hell and back, and any warmth she felt for Todd won’t change her stance. As far as she’s concerned, Billy and Summer can do one!”

This is a major setback for Billy, who is desperate to get Tracy to change her mind. Given all Summer has been through with losing her dad Drew and then Todd deserting them, she needs stability, and Billy can’t bear the thought of letting her down again. It’s a horrible situation as the lass excitedly packs her suitcase so they can move back in together – with Billy steeled to break her heart once more.

The only way to start getting back on their feet is for Billy to find some instant cash. Unfortunately, he sold everything of worth to buy drugs, and he has no job at the moment either. So in a desperate bid to raise some funds, he goes to see Adam to find out if Todd was owed any wages before he disappeared.

Furious Adam tells him to sling his hook, and Billy is sincerely apologetic about everything he’s done to wrong the Barlows in the past. But that doesn’t solve his problem – and it falls to Shona to come up with a solution…

“Following her split with David, Shona’s looking for a home now too,” shares our informant. “She suggests that she could move in with Billy and Summer, and act as guarantor to assauge Tracy’s doubts. It’s the perfect solution – but Tracy won’t have a bar of it. As far as she’s concerned, it’s just not her problem.”

Can Billy find a way to get Tracy to let him stay, and also get his relationship with Summer back on track?
