Yasmeen’s coming to dinner!
YASMEEN IS ROMANCING GEOFF AND SENDING SALLY DOOLALLY…
Audrey is set to come down to earth with a thud this week, as it transpires that charming hospital DJ Geoff only has eyes for Yasmeen. And if you think that’s bad, just wait until Sally realises her neighbour could end up being her mother-in-law!
“Talk about awkward in every way,” sighs our cobbles sneak. “Audrey thought her luck was in when she crossed paths with charming Geoff at the hospital – but once he met Yasmeen, he wasted no time moving in on her. While Audrey is telling Rita all about her feelings for him at the Bistro, she has no idea that he’s about to meet Yasmeen for a date at the same venue!”
Oblivious to Geoff’s duplicity, Audrey insists he join her after she spots him at the eatery – making for an embarrassing scene once Yasmeen turns up. Her mortification prompts her to make a swift exit, and when Audrey notices Geoff looking longingly at his disappearing date, the penny finally drops.
Rather than kicking off publicly, the dignified salon owner diplomatically suggests that Geoff catch up with Yasmeen, who’s thrilled by the gesture. But the pair’s delight looks set to be short-lived once feisty Sally realises that her father-in-law is dating her neighbour from hell…
“As if Yasmeen doesn’t already get a hard enough time from Sally,” sighs our sneak. “The discovery that she and Geoff are an item is a red rag to a bull where Sally is concerned. And there’s no way she’ll be prepared to tolerate the possibility that her arch-rival could one day be calling the shots as matriarch of the extended Metcalfe family!”
Taking immediate action, furious Sally orders her hubby Tim to invite his father over for dinner so that she can get to work on putting Geoff off his new lady friend. But Sal is left spitting feathers after Geoff rocks up with Yasmeen perched on his arm and clearly revelling in her new fella!
