Farrah helps Ryan escape!
FARRAH BATTLES RYAN TO FIND KIM...
Hollyoaks meets Hannibal Lecter this week, as psychologist Farrah goes head-to-head with serial killer Ryan in an attempt to find her missing girlfriend Kim. We caught up with actress Krupa Pattani, who plays Farrah, and her enthusiasm for this storyline was evident…
“I loved getting to do all the Clarice Starling things!” she admits, referring to the Silence Of The Lambs heroine. “I liked getting into the nuances of Farrah’s relationship with Ryan, and how they play off each other. It was fun working with Duncan James [who plays Ryan], too – he’s such a pro, and brought a lot to the table.”
However, it wasn’t all fun and games for Krupa, who admits she is terrified of horror movies – but had to sit through one!
“The director said, ‘You’ve got to watch The Silence Of The Lambs now!’, since I’ve managed to go my entire life without seeing it,” confesses the star. “I watched it and loved it. Sometimes I feel like you don’t see enough female action heroes, and I really enjoyed that element of
Farrah in this situation.”
Under pressure to find Kim, Farrah turns to Grace for help. And wouldn’t they make a great couple? We’re just saying…
“I’m not sure, but I’d be intrigued to find out!” shares Krupa, wearing her best poker face. “I would like to work more with Tamara Wall [Grace] to see where that’s going, and if there is a future there. I think there’s chemistry, and it would be very interesting!”
Conversely, as Farrah and Kim find themselves in even more danger at the mercy of Ryan, would the actress like them to have a happy ending together?
“I really would, but then again, I suppose it wouldn’t be soap if that happened,” laughs Krupa. “I think everything that’s gone wrong between them has been external. They haven’t messed each other around yet. I still feel like they have a chance, and if they can make a go of it, that would be great.”
Life is never that simple in Hollyoaks, of course – and there’s certainly going to be a lot of danger for Farrah and Kim to face before the week is out…
I really enjoyed seeing Farrah be an action hero in this situation!
