Couch POTATO
Comedian and presenter Brian Conley picks his dream viewing…
If my wife is busy making dinner or I’m at home on my own, I love to watch old episodes of Top
Of The Pops. It’s on BBC4 and I record them all – I go in to have a look and find that I’ve got 20 of them on there! I just love them for a trip down memory lane – I really enjoy those.
This is from way back,
but I’ve watched Happy Valley on catch-up and thought it was really, really good. I was just blown away by it! Sarah Lancashire is such a wonderful actress that it was like watching a documentary – it didn’t feel like it was a drama at all. I’ve also got into
Key & Peele through my daughters – they watch it on Youtube.
I think what they’re doing is very good and very exciting. And, of course, one of them [Jordan Peele] wrote and directed the hit film Get Out.
When I was growing up, I used to love watching The Generation Game.
I was always a big fan of Bruce Forsyth, especially in those early days. And
I had the hots for Cilla Black! I had a real crush on her, which I had the privilege of telling her when I got to meet her years later.
If I could be on any other show, I’d love to be on Taskmaster. Or on
Room 101 – I love that show. I’ve even got my list made out, if they ever ask me – I’m not even joking, you can tell Frank Skinner I’m ready! Or I’d love to be on
Westworld – I’m totally addicted to that!
