Roy hunts for the truth…
CAN HE OUTWIT ROSEMARY AND EXPOSE HER AS A FAKE?
Sceptical Roy is on a mission to prove psychic Rosemary is a fraud this week – before Gail pays her £3,000. Having been told that evil ex-husband Richard Hillman has put a curse on her family, terrified Gail is desperate to remove the hex by any means necessary. For her, the tragedy and heartbreak that the Platts have experienced is proof positive that Richard means business. So when Rosemary offers to get rid of the curse if Gail pays her cash, it seems like a good deal…
“The problem Gail has is that she doesn’t have a few thousand pounds burning a hole in her bank account!” muses our Street snitch. “Let’s not forget that she’s renting a room in the house she used to own, and she doesn’t command a big salary. To get her hands on that money, Gail has to get herself into debt. But she thinks it’s a small price to pay if it means her family will be safe from Richard’s curse.”
Although she’s a sensible woman in many ways, Gail’s desperation drives her to make the foolish decision of taking out a payday loan. Worse still, she decides to tell a white lie on the application form and lists Roy Cropper as her employer, and keeps her fingers crossed that they won’t get in touch.
The trouble is, Roy does get a call – and he’s incredulous when he confronts Gail, as she tells him what the money is for. Roy’s long been contemptuous of Rosemary and her link to the spirit world, convinced that she is preying on vulnerable people and merely a con artist. But seeing how fearful Gail is,

Roy agrees to lend her the money himself – if she lets him come along to the séance too.
“Rosemary has been wary of Roy from the start, so she’s not best pleased that he’s joining them for this important ritual,” whispers our insider. “But Gail is adamant, and so Rosemary does her best with what she has. Interestingly, she makes contact with two new spirits during the session – Gail and Audrey’s old pal Alma Baldwin and Roy’s beloved Hayley. Gail can’t believe it, and is full of emotion and awe as Rosemary works her magic!”
Despite Hayley’s ‘visit’, Roy is completely unmoved by Rosemary’s séance and confides in Audrey that there must be a rational explanation. Rosemary is holding a psychic event nearby the next day, so Roy and Audrey decide to go along with Gail to suss it out.
Will the trio be able to unearth the truth behind Rosemary’s gift, or is the kooky psychic the real thing?
