Kirk has an unwanted admirer
WHAT WILL BETH HAVE TO SAY?
Clueless Kirk finds himself in a pickle this week – when client Sharon tries to mix business with pleasure. The good-natured fella has been earning extra cash by walking Sharon’s pooch, but it’s not just his canine services she’s interested in. Following advice from Tyrone, Kirk told Beth a white lie about Sharon’s age and attractiveness, and it could cost him dearly. That’s because Sharon’s on a mission, and Kirk is her prime target!
“Beth will go ballistic when she finds out that Sharon is younger than she thought and has designs on her husband,” warns our Corrie snitch. “Kirk doesn’t realise that he’s a catch – being a kind, lovely man who adores dogs. Sharon is quite smitten, yet Kirk’s been oblivious to her interest. But the penny is about to drop.”
Kirk meets up with Sharon for a dog-training session, and they get chatting about their lives. Sharon talks about her ex-husband and Kirk happily discusses Beth and their relationship. He doesn’t notice when Sharon clouds over at the mention of his other half, and he doesn’t find it strange when she hands over a bag of her ex’s clothes for Kirk to wear. Instead, he sees it as normal and agrees when Sharon asks him to meet her to go shopping the next day. “To Kirk, it’s innocent,” says our insider. “They go on this shopping trip, and he helps her out. Even when she kisses him on the cheek to thank him for being a good pal, Kirk still doesn’t twig. But Tyrone, who has spotted the moment,
reckons Kirk’s playing with fire and needs to cool things off.”
That’s easier said than done. Just a couple of days later,
Kirk is summoned to Speed Daal when Sharon is on a blind date. She tells him she needs a bodyguard in case the bloke is dodgy, but when he doesn’t arrive, Sharon invites Kirk to join her for a meal instead.
It’s obvious she’s engineered the situation to get a date with Kirk, but it’s only when Sharon admits she wanted to get him alone that he freaks out. Going home, he tells Beth the job with Sharon isn’t working out. However, when she instructs Kirk to put up with it for the cash, will he stand firm?
