Abi falls off the wagon!
STEVE GETS CAUGHT UP IN THE ANTICS OF SEB’S MUM – AS SHE TRIES TO HIDE HER HEARTACHE…
There’s trouble at Eileen’s house this week, as devastated Abi hits the bottle to drown her sorrows – and poor Steve is manhandled by her lairy mates!
The mayhem begins after Abi is told she has a long way to go before social services let her regain custody of her twins, despite her recent efforts. It’s a big blow to Abi, who’s been coming up with all kinds of ways to convince the authorities she’s a fit mother. But once she’s on her latest bender, trouble starts as her wayward friends arrive and the party is interrupted by Steve.
“It’s bedlam and Steve is caught up in the madness, whether he likes it or not,” says our Corrie insider. “It’s a room full of raucous laughter – though inside, Abi’s heart is breaking. She doesn’t know any other way to cope, but this is the sort of behaviour that led to the twins being removed from her care in the first place. If she’s not careful, she’ll find herself back at square one.”
That’s a shame, because
Abi has been making big leaps forward and has impressed those around her. Son Seb is proud to see his mum drugfree and working hard in her new job at the garage. Kevin and Tyrone like having Abi around, and they think she’s a grafter. But when Abi comes up with a plan to make herself seem more respectable, she puts her job on the line.

her appear more stable,” our source tells us. “She’s looking for someone who is steady and respectable – the sort of family man who’d get a thumbs-up from social services. It doesn’t really matter what she thinks of him, just that he looks the part. So she asks Tyrone out – and he eventually says, ‘Yes!’”
Things get awkward, however, when Seb lets slip that Abi’s motivations for the date are nothing to do with liking Tyrone. The whole thing quickly turns into a disaster, and Abi is forced to apologise to Ty for the awful evening and hope he’s still willing to work with her. After that embarrassing situation, Abi faces more misery when social services pay her a visit and explain that the process of getting back the twins will involve a lot more time and effort from her.
Heartbroken, Abi reaches for the booze and calls her mates. Will Steve tell Eileen about her actions and see her out on her ear?
