He’ll be forced to beg on the streets…

-

Brace yourselves for heartbreaking scenes in Corrie, as Sean’s financial situation becomes so desperate that he is forced to beg for money and food on the streets.

Our paparazzi shots of star Antony Cotton filming his character’s new storyline show Sean sitting on the pavement cradling an empty coffee cup, in the hope that passers-by will spare him some change…

“It still feels inconceivable that someone with Sean’s support network would end up in this situation,” notes our cobbles spy. “But it just goes to show that anyone can fall on hard times.”

Previous hints to Sean’s life unravelling have included him sleeping rough in a tent, and sporting nasty facial injuries after being attacked in a public toilet. It’s unclear whether his friends back on the cobbles are aware of his situation by the time he resorts to pleading with strangers for cash – but it looks as if Sean’s ex-boyfriend Billy might be the one to come to his rescue.

The pair will bump into one another when the Street vicar volunteers at a community food drive for the homeless. When he spots Sean in the queue, Billy has it out with his former flame. Can he convince Sean to let him help?

“Sean is clearly going to allow his pride to stand in the way,” says our source. “It’s extra hard for him to accept support from Billy, given how their relationship ended when Billy left him for Todd Grimshaw. However, he’s foolish if he thinks Billy will give up trying to help.”

Billy’s tough love could give Sean food for thought after he too appears to pop on an apron and joins him in helping out. Will this be the moment that he finds the courage to turn his life around?
